Lovely arts and crafts hub with a lovely manager, staff, atmosphere and great range of things in the well stocked shop. The cafe is also lovely and has gluten free options. It seems to be a real hive of varied activity for the local community. Highly recommend a wee visit if your in the area

Visit to Sanquhar, thought we would try this community cafe, definitely not disappointed. Very friendly staff, good food at reasonable cost. Very good paninis, fresh tasting salad. Good cup of tea. Clean and nice atmosphere. Clearly used by locals a lot. We were given a lovely welcome. Nice gift and information shop at the front. Good outside space but due to weather we were not able to make the most of. This is the sort of thing a lot of towns are in need of, we would certainly return if in the area.

We visited twice whilst in Sanquhar. The first time they had advertised food till 4.00 but stopped serving hot food at 3.00. So we had a coffee and cake - all very nice but not what we wanted.
The second time we arrived at 2.04 to be told that they stopped warm food at 2.00 ! This time we were told that they wouldn’t even serve us a warm drink - it was cold and wet outside- they were very unhelpful! So we left still cold and wet and hungry too !
The cafe open sign was still outside to add insult to injury. Hay ho !

Inviting, warm and friendly. Very interesting with lots of good activities and lovely local crafts. Local people use and love this place because it genuinely cares about the community it's in, and serves it so well. Also brilliant for visitors to the village and area. Cafe is lovely, great food and great ambience.
