Jasmine was great!! She was so detailed in making sure my eyebrows looked as close to perfect as possible with her waxing, plucking and tint technique. She also waxed my upper and lower lip and I am very happy with the result.

Where do I even begin. Jaquikeyah was my waxed and I absolutely enjoyed her company and time. She communicated every step of the way of what she was doing and always asked if I was comfortable with the temperature of the wax. I loved our chat, she really made me feel like home and I will absolutely be booking with her again.

I feel extremely disappointed, disrespected, and uncomfortable after my first ever waxing experience. My best friend referred me here, and I had originally booked with someone with incredible reviews. To no one’s fault, that esthetician was not available, and I was told that I would be with Ileana and “she’s great.” I told the front desk that I was nervous and asked what I could expect, and they deferred the explaining to my esthetician. When Ileana called my name, she did not say hi or introduce herself. Instead, she asked if this was my first ever waxing experience, followed by a disapproving sound. I mentioned that that sound didn’t make me feel confident, and she dismissed my concern. Ileana then asked why I’ve suddenly decided to get waxed, as though I was lesser than having gone my whole life without it. Unfortunately, I was already feeling discouraged and judged and could not share why this has been such an emotional barrier. She told me to undress and get on the table - no explaining, no educating, no comforting. Rather, Ileana’s comments and tone of voice were dismissive and condescending.. “It’s not that bad, it’s only been five minutes, I need you to stop moving, you’ll be fine.” When our session ended, Ileana joked if I would ever come back again. I felt absolutely humiliated and livid. There was no kindness, no empathy, no friendliness, and definitely no customer service. When I asked the front desk why they assigned me to Ileana and if they believed she was as “great” as they’d advertised, their response was awkward silence and “she can be rough around the edges.” I did not feel beautiful; I felt like a burden. I did not feel comfortable; I felt judged. I did not feel cared for; I felt like someone they ushered in and out for a paycheck. As a survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault, and as someone who currently works in mental health to help survivors regain their confidence and security, this behavior is completely unacceptable. I would be doing future clients a disservice by not warning them of how toxic and hostile Ileana is. However, I do believe that people can change and there is always room for growth. I hope this can be a learning experience for Ileana and a coaching opportunity for management to ensure that no client ever feels as insignificant and burdensome as I did.
