I worked with Nella, who was a wonderful NP. Very happy with my experience with her. Front desk is kind and friendly. My only negative experience so far in the years of coming here was my lab tech today. She was not friendly, very hard to hear, did not explain things very well, and rushed down the hallway so fast you didn’t even know if you were supposed to follow lol. I would avoid working with her again if I had a choice. The rest of the staff has been great.

Dr. Foster has been our family doctor since we moved to Cedar Park in the early 90's. Didn't have a regular doctor and after 2 other doctors couldn't tell us why my daughter was having pains. After a few minutes Dr. Foster told us to drive immediately the hospital where he called ahead to have her admitted. If not for his extensive knowledge my daughter could have died. Over the years he and his staff have never caused me to doubt their ability. Plus he's a really nice guy.

Edit: 1.5 years later... I still really like the providers, but am frustrated by the staff almost every time I try to get anything done here... They are frequently unaccommodating, and they withhold refills of medications I've been on for years unless I'm seen every three months. It's a policy, and they make no exceptions. I don't have the time for that. I'm so frustrated at this point I think I am to the point of going through the hassle of finding a new doctor for myself and my children.

Original review :
I love this place. I have been to a LOT of different doctors' offices and this one just feels comfortable. The staff members are kind and personable, and the exam rooms (and lobby) feel more like nicely decorated rooms in a home than exam rooms. My kids and husband and I have seen both Tasha Norman and Dr. Foster and they, and their medical assistants, are all great. It is obvious that they like their jobs and really care about their patients. My kids needed shots and were given helium balloons and stickers. I had multiple kids in different exam rooms and they we very flexible and helpful in letting me go back and forth. Dr. Foster also was very understanding that I wanted to slave out the vaccinations for my little ones. The only thing I don't like as much is that when you call the office an automated attendant answers instead of a person, but you can usually get someone live on the phone once you push the appropriate button. I highly recommend this office!

The nurses were absolutely amazing! Very kind, professional, and loving to my 5 day old baby. I was even told that my choice on a very controversial issue was mine to make and that I would be respected and not judged for it. Dr Foster, however, didnt feel as such. I made a decision when I walked into that office and based that decision off of informed research that I had done over the past 9 months. Dr. Foster took it upon himself to call me “stupid” for my decision and say that I watch too many “daytime talk shows.” He berated me and reminded me that he has “better information than most.” I began to cry and told him that I have done my research and my opinion is my own, my decision is my own. As I explained to him that I am new at parenting and have tried really hard to make an informed decision about this exact subject, he continued to smirk in my face and very insincerely apologize for the way he spoke to me. Once the ordeal was over, I made an appointment with another doctor in the practice in hopes to have a much better experience. We will see how my daughters two week check up goes and I will decide if I can continue to use this provider.

Update: Tasha and Dr. Coldwater are bother very amazing. Sweet, knowledgeable, and value your parental rights. I’m happy to see them.

Family Medical Center is a wonderful practice, for ongoing health management needs. I have seen Dr. Steven Foster, Dr. Josh Reinhart , and their medical assistants are all great. You can tell they care about their patients. The facility has a very comfortable and personal feeling. It’s great as well that they have their own phlebotomy technician, giving you consistency in getting blood work done. I highly recommend this practice in Cedar Park for your family physician needs.

I have been seeing Dr foster for years taking care of my type 2 diabetic situation. My a1c is at its lowest level in years due to diagnosis and treatment . The staff is also professional and courteous. Love these guys!

I saw Nella Stout FNP-C who was extremely patient and considerate. She asked questions to better understand my situation and listened carefully to what I had to say. She's the kind of person you hope to find in the medical field.
Additionally, everyone else who worked here was really nice and helpful. Clearly a good work culture full of people who like their jobs.
Thank you for everything you all do.

I have been going there for years. I love Dr. Ewert. She discovered a rare tumor I had when everyone including a cardiologist did not pick up. 1 in 200,000 people have what I had. Thankfully we caught it in time. I really love the staff as well.
