The lady working on Friday night was the rudest most unprofessional person I've ever met. My 87yo grandmother and I needed a room, I'm a rewards member so I called ahead to ask about handicap accommodations and check availability, after her being very rude with me on the phone and getting upset with me because I wouldnt pull over on the highway to give her my credit card info that second(we we're 5 min away) she informed me that our reservation was canceled and that we were no longer able to book a room at this location.

So we happily took our business to the Best Western Plus next door.

Make sure you get a first floor room bc the elevators NEVER work. Was here a year ago and they weren’t working and now I’ve only been here a few days and it went from one elevator working to NONE. And we are on the top floor so that’s fun. There’s a nice little kitchenette in the room but if you wanna sit at the bar top you’ll have to scoot a shorter chair up to it seeing as though the bar stools they have give your legs about 3 inches of room under the table. Do better. These are stupid issues that can easily be fixed. My husband is on a job here but I highly doubt he will be booking here next week.

I usually prefer staying at Wyndham hotels, but I stayed at La Quinta in Wichita Falls from October 5th to 12th to visit my spouse who was working in the area. Unfortunately, my stay was far from pleasant.

First, the elevators weren’t working upon arrival and throughout my entire stay. They had to constantly turn them off and reset them, which was very inconvenient.

From October 7th to the 12th, there was no cold water, and guests were not informed upon checking in. Additionally, the kitchen in my suite was poorly stocked—there were no dishes, just a few glasses and one plastic spoon. They did bring me a couple of plates, napkins, a pot, and plastic utensils, but I ended up buying my own items from Walmart. After using the kitchen on the first night, the sink got clogged, and the water stopped working. I had to move to a room on the 3rd floor.

To make things worse, I forgot the items I had purchased in the previous room. When I tried to retrieve them an hour later, I was told they were unsure where they were and housekeeping must have put them in another room. I never got them back.

The new room had a slightly better-stocked kitchen, but our problems didn’t end there. The water wasn’t getting hot enough, and when I brought this up to the front desk the next morning, they admitted there was a plumbing issue, but the plumber couldn't come until the next day. This was incredibly frustrating because they charged me full price without informing me about the problem. They offered a 15% discount for the rest of my stay, but I never received it, even after asking multiple times.

The only bright spot was the breakfast and coffee in the mornings. However, there was a guest’s dog roaming freely in the breakfast area, licking both guests and staff, which was concerning. They also only offer housekeeping if you request them before 9am in the morning. They do not refresh the rooms.

I was deeply disappointed with this stay, given the ongoing issues and lack of customer service. It’s hard to recommend this location, especially when they knowingly let guests deal with plumbing problems and failed to follow through on their promises.

The front desk manager on days was wonderful. She absolutely loved my pets. We had a great stay for 2 days and if back in that area will definitely stay again. The room was clean and spacious. Thank you for a great stay.

Had family in from out of town my mother has mobility issues and uses a walker. We had another reservation at another hotel but their elevator was out. We got them a room thru s third party service here instead. When my wife checked them in she mentioned the issue at the previous hotel with elevators. She requested a handicap accessible room and verified the elevators worked. Instead we were given a third floor room with no grab bars in the bathroom a bed too tall for her to sit on and nothing handicap accessible. Then come to find out only 2 elevator was partially working and if it got too hot it would shut off. 1 family member helped another elderly woman carry her luggage upstairs because the elevator went out shortly after checking in. We were checking them out the next day yet my mother got stuck on the third floor for over half an hour in the hot halfway with no place to sit because the elevator was down again. So we were lied to and my mother was stuck on the third floor unable to use stairs due to these lies we were minutes away from calling fire department to get my mother down. Would never recommend!

Room is nice and spacious. I love that the pet fee is very reasonable.

Good breakfast included with room.

The upkeep of the hotel is my main issue. The hallway carpet was dirty and had damage on the 3rd floor. Elevators were not clean at all and operated very slowly.

The lady working the front desk was helpful and kind, and the breakfast was edible. Unfortunately those were about the only positives. I imagine the elevators were 50/50 since there was an elevator out of order sign on the ready on a table next to the elevators in the lobby. The entire hotel is still adorned with COVID precautions not removed since the epidemic. The building shows it’s history of lacking maintenance. The majority of the photos online are dated at least 10 years but if I had to guess I’d say the building condition was at least 20 years older than the pristine photos existing online. Problem areas: cleaning is a major concern here exemplified by the fact the tub certainly hasn’t been cleaned well in some time as the drain was so clogged it didn’t drain an inch in at least two hours so only one person could even use it. The carpet hadn’t been vacuumed nor had any tile areas. Nail clippings as well as unmentionable hairs from previous guests in the bathroom, loose change, remnants of leftover meals and hair throughout the sleeping quarters. We didn’t see any indication of bed bugs but I assure you everything that entered this place will be put in the dryer when return home because it’s simply a miracle there’s not an infestation if there’s not. Housekeeping would never know or wouldn’t care if there was. We called the front desk around 7am for the tub not draining and we’re about to check out at 0930 and have yet to have anyone come by to check on it.
Even at the price of $100/night I feel we overpaid given the fact 1/2 of the room was essentially unusable. The beds are firm but lumpy and unkept. The Vizio tv worked well but the room phone was unplugged and broken when plugged in and so we had to call front desk via cell phone. I’m generally not that picky about a place as long as it’s clean and quiet but this place would have a germaphobe sleeping in their vehicle. I’ll try to shoot some pics before leaving to update and help you decide not to stay here.
