Very disappointed. Terrible customer service. I will be honest they were fantastic to deal with at the beginning then they seemed annoyed and never returned phone calls.
We had issues with sand filter, the older gentleman who came to house said there was nothing wrong and told my wife "stop looking for issues". I had contacted the owner who was great to talk to on the phone but never followed up. They made my wife and I feel stupid for saying there was an issue. Rintoul's kept saying it was an electrical issue, our electrician said otherwise.
I contacted hayward pool company myself, they told me that clearly there was an issue with sand filter. We had a pool company from Stratford come to look at sand filter, they immediately said there was an issue with it. The sand needed replaced(which I asked Rintoul's to do but refused to do for some odd reason) and that the laterals inside sand filter were bent. Again I want to say they were fantastic to deal with at the start and maybe it was just the cranky lazy old guy who didn't want to do his job but they missed a big problem and treated us poorly.

I do not recommend Rintoul's Pool & Spa. I moved from city living to a house in the country in 2019. I went into Rintoul Pools last fall/2024 to inquire about installing an above ground pool in my back yard. I was advised it couldn't be done until 2026 unless they had a cancellation. I received a call this year in March advising they have a cancellation for 2025 so I set up a meeting to discuss what I wanted and to get a quote for a pool plus installation. I also inquired if they knew anyone who does decks and gave her a sample picture as she said she does. A friend of mine advises me that I would also have to get a building permit thinking I should have no problem there. I finally get a quote a month later in April. After discussing with my husband we decided to go ahead with it. So I signed the contract and brought in a money order for more than 1/2 the cost which was $17,000. I was going away in May so I was trying to do what I could before I left.
Note: I am on a septic system.
A week later, I went to my local municipality office to see what was required to get a permit and was advised I could not put a pool in my back yard due to the leach field and mantle sand that took up the majority of my back yard. This I did not know about.
I first called to make sure an order hadn't been placed yet for my pool which it hadn't and then I went into the office to cancel my contract. I was advised I would get a full refund but I was generous enough and advised her to keep $100 for her time. I waited to get a call saying my cheque was ready but instead I called them a week later to request I needed it by that Friday to deposit it before I went away.
I then get a call back saying my cheque was ready but technically it was non refundable but that they were keeping $500.
There is nothing on the contract that says a deposit for 1/2 the cost is non-refundable or that there is a $500 cancellation fee. It's been over 3 weeks since I have requested a bill of sale for the $500 and I have received neither an email or statement from Rintoul Pools.

We had called about having our filled fixed over a month ago have heard nothing from them. Called to have a new indoor pool hooked up as they did our first pool. Person on the phone was rude said yes how about next May. We asked if they new of someone else who could help hook it up she said why don't you Google it and hung up! We own a business and as many time as I might want to say that to customers too we would never say that as it's very rude. Would not recommend these people at all.

Absolute worst customer service ever! Never return a phone call. We paid over $30k for a swim spa that isn’t even 4 years old. Our 3rd ozonator has broken and they are trying to charge us $700 for a new one stating only the first o e is covered. We will be taking this further.

Rintouls Pool and Spa installed our inground pool in August 2022. It was booked fairly last minute and they were fast to install. They worked great with our landscapers and ensured all our needs were met. Mackenzie went above and beyond and I was impressed by her knowledge, customer service and her follow up.
I couldn’t be happier and recommend Rintouls for your pool install!

Cindy didn't have the time of day for me....I am new to a pool in my backyard....she rolled her eyes at me more often than my grandmother rolled out bisquiets that were served daily with supper.
Younger girls were amazing!!!
I maybe wasn't gunna spend 60 thousands dollars... Shouldn't matter I WAS a customer. No worries Cindy you won't have to deal with me anymore. Sorry to take you away from important customers...it won't happen again.

Horrible , went there 3 times this week , all different times ... And they're closed , like change your hours on Google , is it that hard ? I'm done with this place .. Blue Horizon goderich has all your hot tub/pool needs .. Rintouls is and always will be my last option . , I'll pick Amazon before Rintouls..
